Knowing That Jesus Saves

A man who has known and received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior is truly blest with God’s great salvation so rich and free. Undeniably, he has the assurance of eternal life and joy of salvation. Realizing what the Lord Jesus did for us at the Cross will surely trigger our hearts not only to be thankful Him, but to serve Him in sincerity and in truth.
It is always our prayer and desire to see multitudes of repentant people from all walks of life and from all corners of the world being saved through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. We strongly believe that God saved us for a purpose. Whatever happens to our lives after conversion, we know that all things have special purpose. The Bible says in Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)
(I) It Entails A Great Responsibility Romans 10:13-15
The Bible says in Romans 10:13, For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV) Knowing that Jesus saves will compel us to tell others the Good News and its benefit to fallen human race. It’s our joy and privilege to share the hope of salvation through faith in Christ. Telling others that “Jesus Saves” is a great responsibility to bear and to fulfill as long as we live in this lost and dying world.
However, there are various reasons why many believers are not involved in soul winning and in supporting global evangelization: one reason is indifferent attitude toward God’s mandate. In Matthew 28:17-20, it is written, And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. (KJV) Obviously, a lot of people are doubting the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in Matthew 28:18-20, And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV) As beneficiaries of what the Lord Jesus did for us at the Cross, it is only proper to obey His mandate concerning the “Great Commission”. Knowing that Jesus saves entails a great responsibility.
-It triggers our heart to send missionaries Romans 10:14
Knowing that Jesus saves should trigger our hearts to get involved in World Missions Program. Countless people are under the bondage of spiritual darkness because they are yet to be reached with the Gospel of Christ. In Romans 10:14, it is written, How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (KJV) Truly, the Gospel is the ultimate need of the world and preachers of the Word have a great role in reaching the lost.
Knowing that Jesus saves should trigger our hearts to send more missionaries to the vast harvest field. Christ-like compassion makes the big difference when it comes to winning souls for Christ.
It reminds us of the needed financial support Romans 10:15
We must be willing to pay the cost of sending missionaries to the unevangelized places. In Romans 10:15, it is written, And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (KJV) What a blessing and honor to proclaim the Word of Truth. Let our God-entrusted substance be used in evangelizing the whole world.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:15, Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. (KJV) Be a part in fulfilling the “Great Commission” for the benefit of the lost and dying people.
Spiritual insights to live by:
Knowing that Jesus saves is hope-giving and could touch our hearts to do what God wants us to do concerning Global Evangelization. It illumines our mind to do what is right and pleasing before God. The Bible says in Jamess 4:17, Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (KJV) We know fully well that spreading the Good News is good. If we don’t do what is good, we commit sin and our life’s purpose is defeated. We must keep on telling others that “Jesus Saves” for God’s honor and glory.
